Spiritual Life Ministry
The church is a place where we come to encounter and respond to God in worship. The church is also a people engaged in an ongoing relationship with God that transforms who they are and how they act. The Spiritual Life Ministry offers experiences and creates spaces to cultivate personal, transformative encounters with the one Living God, made known to us through holy Scripture as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Spiritual Life Gatherings
During the Holy Seasons of Advent and Lent, the Spiritual Life Group offers space for participants to learn about and practice various forms of contemplative prayer, including the Daily Office. No advance preparation is necessary. For more information, contact parishioner Molly Peacock.
Parish Spiritual Retreat in Lent (March 6-8, 2026)
For anyone seeking a deeper life with God, join us for a weekend spiritual retreat at the beautiful Virginia Mae Center on the grounds of the Washington National Cathedral. Led by guest speaker James Catford, this three-day retreat will provide space, guidance, and atmosphere for you to connect with God, both individually and in the intimacy of a small community from our parish.
This year's theme will focus around the inner life of a public figure. Each day will include daily offices, contemplative talks, individual guided prayer, and small group sharing. For more information or to register, contact Mother Tiffany Clark.
Camino Pilgrimage (May 21-28, 2026)
Walk with God and with fellow pilgrims on an ancient path of prayer. Lined with stone crosses and chapels and passing through verdant vineyards and medieval villages, the Camino de Santiago leads both to a stunning destination and to a deeper life with God. This 7-day, 75 mile pilgrimage begins in Sarria, Spain and includes morning and evening prayer with reflections for the day. For more information or to register, contact
