The Christ Church, Georgetown nursery provides a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment for infants and small children while they are at church. Such an environment communicates to these youngest parishioners the love and warmth of the parish community and supports the parents’ participation in the adult and youth education programs. Children ages four months to 3 years are invited to enjoy the nursery while their families attend worship or religious education classes. The nursery is staffed with professional child care providers who engage the children in age appropriate play and activities.

When a parent signs a child into the nursery, the parent is asked to provide any information essential to the safe care of the child. The parent is also given a vibrating pager that can be activated in case a nursery attendant needs a parent to return to the nursery.
