Home : Worship : Baptisms
Holy Baptism forms the absolute bedrock and foundation of our Christian life. It is our entry by water and the Holy Spirit into the Body of Christ, which is the Church. In baptism we become children of God, and if children, then heirs of all the grace and riches God wants to give to us. The greatest of these gifts is eternal life with God. We are baptized into the life, death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. In dying with Christ under the waters of baptism, we then rise with Christ , being born from above, into Resurrection life and faith.
Both adults and children are baptized in the Episcopal Church. Baptisms are scheduled in advance by the church from September through May. Baptisms occur at our principal services at either 9:00 AM, 11:15 AM. or 5:00 PM on Sunday. During the summer months there is more flexibility for scheduling a baptism at Sunday services.
If you or someone in your family desires to be baptized, please call the church and speak with the rector, the Rev. Stuart Kenworthy.
